Having graduated with a degree in Management and Mathematics, Felix began his career working in a UK publishing house in Oxford writing procedural reform in organisational efficiency and quality management. Yet he always sought to work in the creative industries. So after moving to Australia, Felix started over as a production coordinator for tvc productions and worked his way up.
Felix’s career as a VFX producer spans 17 years, which has earned him 15 film credits, 2 industry award nominations, and a detailed knowledge of film and television post-production at an executive level. Having also produced over 50 television commercials and cinematic trailers, Felix is equally adept at delivering smaller projects with fast turnarounds, as he is on large scale film productions managing 300+ crew over a year.
In 2015, he helmed Disney’s The Finest Hours to produce one of MPC’s most technically challenging show requiring 900 shots with a variety of cg water environments, fully interactive with live action and digital doubles. Amongst his other credits are Prometheus, Captain America – the First Avenger, and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Recently, Felix has produced one of Australia’s most ambitious Virtual Reality productions, The Bombing of Darwin, commissioned by the Australian government to feature alongside the launch of a new Darwin tourism site. The project required hundreds of assets, and was executed with simulated ship explosions, bomb splashes, animated aircraft, and gunfire and smoke to re-enact a key moment in Australian history.
