WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
The story of Plastic Wax comes from humble beginnings, starting in a small family garage back in 1997 with only a handful of young determined artists. Always knowing that it was destined for more, the company grew through through the pioneering determination of its leaders, technological innovation and creativity, and ambition to create the most superior animation on the market.

Today, Plastic Wax resides in a multi-story facility with its own motion capture stage, housing the greatest talents in the animation industry.

WHAT'S IN A NAME?
Our studio's name is an homage to animation's history.​

The uncanny and breathtaking CGI we see on our screens today comes from a rapid evolution of technology.
Before its inception film-makers relied on traditional techniques like Claymation and miniaturization, but as the industry experimented and evolved, so did the techniques. In a short span of time, CGI became the pioneering method of visual storytelling.
In its infancy CGI looked akin to plastic wax, but this first step laid down the path of all we know today.
